What is Student Digital Learning?
Student Digital Learning refers to the use of digital technology and online resources in educational settings to enhance the learning experience of students. It encompasses a range of activities, including online classes, digital course materials, interactive learning platforms, and the use of digital tools like tablets and laptops in classrooms. The focus is on leveraging technology to improve access to educational content, facilitate interactive and personalized learning, and prepare students for a digitally connected world. This approach can offer more flexible, diverse, and engaging learning experiences compared to traditional methods.
Student Engagement and Requirements
Selected students must attend all sessions and will receive coordinated travel support, stipends, and complimentary room and board. Participants are expected to room with a peer of the same gender. Ideal candidates are current students at an Alabama MSI, underrepresented in STEAM fields, and exhibit a willingness to engage actively in the Summit.
